Lots of News Stuff News
There’s lots of news to get through today as I have been a very busy little bee! First off, I have started a Patreon page for the Shelby Bly Project. I’d greatly appreciate if you’d check it out and consider becoming a patron sometime soon. I know times are tough, they’re tough for me too, but any little bit can help. If you’d rather make a direct, one-time donation to help the project, see the Support page.
I have lots of new Concept Art to share with you today as well! I have added the following brand new Character Concepts to that section: Looters and Mysterious Man. I also updated the main character concept renders for Joel Rio. That marks the end of all the main characters I need to convert to Superfly that I had created before. I’ll look through my call sheet and see if there are any more new characters that need to be created. Until then, the following previously posted characters have been updated with new alternate/variant outfits: Maia Avanti, Shelby Bly, Mysterious Man, and Joel Rio. That’s also the last of the alternate/variant outfits and character versions I had created previously that needed to be converted to Superfly. From now on, everything will be brand new. To make sure you don’t miss anything, you can see all of the new concept images below in addition to being on their individual pages.
There are also brand new Location Concepts. The new locations are the GEEVA CEO Office and the Arizona Dig Site. The office location will first be seen in the Prologue and then again later. The dig site is from Chapter 1. I think before I get to work on any new character alternate outfit concept art, I’m going to work on more location concepts. I can’t very well make a graphic novel without my settings, now can I? I’ve already converted nearly all of the locations I had created previously (just have two more) and then I’ll get to work on brand new locations. I may not post all of them here or I’ll post the spoilery ones in their own section. I haven’t decided yet. Stay tuned!
I also have a new Promotional Artwork for you. This is one of my older artworks that I have updated to reflect the changes to the characters that I’ve made and it has been rendered in Superfly. The “new” artwork is titled “No Holding Back“. I just have one, maybe two more promotional artworks that I want to update and then I’ll be done updating. Once I’m done updating old artworks, I’ll be able to start work on brand new promo artworks! I have several ideas for new artworks sketched out, both spoiler-free and not spoiler-free, so I’ve got plenty of ideas to choose from.
In other news, I updated the About & FAQs page with a few updated answers to the FAQs (nothing major, just a few fixed details here and there). I also updated the main font of the site so the site will load a bit faster and maybe even be a bit easier to read. While I was at it I made a few other little visual improvements here and there as well because once I get started tweaking, I just can’t stop myself!
In terms of behind the scenes work, I’m about to start work on writing the first draft of the story for the sequel while the renders of various pieces of concept art finished for the first story. Once I get the first draft written, I’ll probably work on storyboards and call sheets for the first story. I just really want to get that first draft written while those outlines I wrote are still fresh in my head as are my ideas for the story. I’ll keep you all posted.
That’s all the news for now. I have more work to do so back to work I go! See you all again soon with more news and new stuff. Take care out there!
